The Schneider Family’s Story
We participate in the Winter Walk event as a family in an effort to shine a bright light on some of the inequities that plague our city. Realizing how fortunate we are, as a family, to have a roof over our head, it’s important that we understand our responsibility to advocate for the same for other families. 2018 was our first time participating in The Winter Walk event – and we were inspired by the stories, the journeys, and the successes of so many. We hope to participate in this important event for many years to come.
Housing insecurity drives so many other aspects of one’s health, prosperity, and ability to thrive. We have an obligation to do what we can to address the inequities that we see every day, and I am proud that so many others realize the importance of these efforts. If you come to a Winter Walk event, I promise that you will leave inspired by the strength of so many.
