Winter Walk Boston 2027 Registration Is LIVE!

This Valentine’s Day, Boston will come together to take a stand against homelessness.

Registration is officially LIVE for the 11th Annual Winter Walk Boston, happening Sunday, February 14, 2027, at City Hall Plaza.

Whether you’re looking for a meaningful way to spend Valentine’s Day, searching for Boston charity walks, or simply want to do something tangible to help your neighbors, Winter Walk is your chance to turn a couple of miles into meaningful support for people experiencing homelessness.

A new home for Winter Walk Boston

For 2027, Winter Walk is moving to City Hall Plaza.

Our new home puts us in the heart of Boston and gives us a larger, more accessible event campus for walkers, families, teams, volunteers and our nonprofit partners. It also gives us a better opportunity to keep the Winter Walk on schedule through New England winter weather.

“We walk in any weather, barring the declaration of a state of emergency by the City of Boston,” says Winter Walk Executive Director Paulina Kusiak Daigle. “Moving to City Hall Plaza will help reduce weather-related schedule disruptions while also making the event campus more accessible to people with mobility challenges and devices.”

And while our location is changing, what matters most is not: we’re still walking to end homelessness.

One walk. One million dollars. One powerful community.

This year, we’re setting an ambitious goal: raise $1 million for our nonprofit partners working on the front lines of homelessness in Boston.

Winter Walk raises unrestricted funds for local organizations that provide critical services to people experiencing homelessness and help people move into safe, stable housing.

Every walker has an opportunity to make an impact beyond their registration. You can create a fundraising page, set a goal (we suggest starting with $500) and ask the people who know you to support your walk. You don’t have to be an experienced fundraiser. You just have to be willing to ask!

And when thousands of people each do what they can, those individual efforts add up to something extraordinary.

An Update to Winter Walk Registration Fees for the 2027 Walk Season

For the 2027 walk season, we’ve made an important change to our registration model.

Your registration fee is now the first donation to your Winter Walk fundraiser. We’ve removed the option to fundraise your registration fee, allowing us to put greater emphasis on building a community of fundraisers who can help generate even more support for our nonprofit partners.

Here are this year’s registration options:

Walk With Us — $25
Includes a Winter Walk hat and breakfast. Raise at least $100 to qualify for a swag bag.

Walk With Us — $100
Includes a Winter Walk hat, swag bag and breakfast.

Walk With My Pet — $125
Includes a Winter Walk hat, swag bag, breakfast and a special pet swag bag.

Walk With My Child — $125
Includes Winter Walk hats and swag bags for you and one child, plus breakfast for both.

Stride for Home — $1,000
Includes a Winter Walk hat, premium swag bag and limited-edition Winter Walk sweatshirt.

As always, 100% of the money raised through Winter Walk goes directly to our nonprofit Organizational Partners. Your registration donation gets your fundraiser started; your fundraising takes it further.

If the $25 registration donation is out of reach, please reach out to us at info@winterwalk.org. We want everyone who wants to be part of Winter Walk to have a place here.

Why your walk matters

Homelessness in Boston can feel like a problem too big for any one person to solve.

But you can do something.

You can show up. You can listen. You can start a conversation. You can ask your community to give. You can help a local organization continue doing the work that gets people off the streets, out of shelters and into stable housing.

That’s what makes Winter Walk different from other Boston charity walks.

It isn’t just about crossing a finish line. It’s about bringing housed and unhoused neighbors together, walking together shoulder to shoulder, and turning awareness and empathy into action.

For people searching for ways of helping homeless people in Boston, Winter Walk offers a simple place to start: take a step, raise some money and bring other people with you. (Check out our Top 10 Reasons to Top 10 Reasons to Be a Walk Team Captain at Winter Walk 2027 Boston!)

Make this Valentine’s Day mean more

Grab your partner. Bring your family. Build a team with your coworkers. Bring your dog. Come with friends, or come on your own and meet your Winter Walk community along the way.

On Sunday, February 14, 2027, we’ll meet at City Hall Plaza and walk two miles together for a Boston where everyone has a safe and stable place to call home.

Registration is LIVE.

Then start thinking about who you’ll ask to join you, and who you’ll ask to support you.

Walk with us this Valentine’s Day. Help us raise $1 million to end homelessness in Boston.
